In visita a Nonno Faggio
Alle porte del paese di Oriolo Romano, incorniciato da pascoli e campi, si innalza Monte Raschio, piccola cima di 542m s.l.m. dei Monti Sabatini e dimora di una preziosa ed insolita faggeta vetusta, patrimonio dell’Umanità. Qui circondati da quercete assolate e poi alte pinete, faggi ultracentenari sono testimoni di una lunga storia passata.

Andremo come a fare visita ai nostri nonni ... rispettosi e con la voglia di ascoltare le loro memorie; ci siederemo accanto a loro, sotto le loro “possenti braccia” e ci abbandoneremo anche ai loro silenzi. Giocheremo con loro e poi quando lasceremo il sentiero per tornare a casa ... già ci mancheranno.
