Following Saint Benedict
Simple itineraries will take us to explore some of the most suggestive corners of the Valle Santa within the Regional Park of the Simbruini Mountains, the so-called Roman Alps.

From the hermitage of Saint Benedict, nested in the rock, we will descend through the Convent of Santa Scolastica to the small lake of Saint Benedict immersing ourselves gradually in the nature of the place. Then we will go back up the river Aniene, to reach the small trail that will lead us to the waterfalls of Trevi: here, the water games, ferns and remains of ancient Roman aqueducts will tell us new stories.

History, spirituality and nature are the main ingredients of this proposal: ready to leave for one day the chaos of the nearby and monumental capital.

T: Itinerary on small roads, mule tracks or wide paths; the routes are generally not long, do not present any orientation problems and do not require a specific training if not the typical one of the walk. It develops in the immediate vicinity of towns, tourist resorts, communication routes and is of particular interest for easy cultural or tourist-recreational walks.<br>E: Itinerary on paths or evident traces in various types of land (pastures, debris, scree ...) a decent physical training is required to tackle walks of even a few hours.
